In 2011, Port Coquitlam (City) had a population of 56,342, representing a percentage change of 6.9% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 29.17 square kilometres with a population density of 1,931.3 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 922,509.29 square kilometres with a population density of 4.8 persons per square kilometre.
